At Traill we continue to challenge our young scientists and this year is no exception.  The Australian Big Science Competition is a worldwide challenge for students from years 7 to 10.  It tests the student’s critical thinking and problem solving, so it isn’t a case of just learning a subject.  To be successful in this competition you really have to understand the subject.  The questions cover biological, chemical, earth and space sciences and physical sciences.  This year over 37,000 students took part and our students did extremely well, receiving distinction and credit awards.  Another incredibly impressive achievement by our students.  Well done to everyone taking part.
